Tamiya welcomes another racing car – this time, the 1978 Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo – paired with our popular TT-02 chassis. In 1978, the Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo was developed for the DRM (German Racing Championship) by West German racing team Zakspeed. This car featured an extremely low-profile wide body born of intensive wind tunnel testing, and weighed a mere 790kg. A 1,427cc inline-4 DOHC turbo engine was capable of 375hp. This car achieved victory for the first time at the 11th race of the DRM in Nürburgring in October 1978; the next year it got the second position at the first race of the DRM and victory at the second race.

The distinctive form of the 1978 Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo is captured in style by a lightweight, rigid 1.0mm thick polycarbonate body.
The efficient shaft-driven 4WD TT-02 chassis features superior adaptability and stability.
Front 2-piece mesh wheels from Item 50548 (silver color) are paired with racing slick tires.
Rear 2-piece wide mesh wheels from Item 50549 (silver color) are paired with wide racing slick tires from Item 50547.
Gold color wheel caps are used at front and rear.
Comes with stickers and masking stickers for use in the paint job.
